Like so many other topics Barak Obama has spoken about and flip flopped on the new mosque that is proposed mere blocks from the World Trade Center site appears to be no different. He is fine with the building of it one day and the next day he puts into question the wisdom of placing such an object so close to ground zero.
I swear there have to be clones of this man, I know hes in government, I know politicians flip flop and now with the fact that we video tape almost everything it becomes easier to see or hear such things. But I could swear there are differences in the man or its something the Dems have come up with to stave off the complete political downfall of the president. They sneak one in somewhere he can be shown to care for people and say whatever preprogrammed quip they have given him to speak.
Official Opinion: Obama should think about what he says before he speaks. Also that much could be said for tons of people.

Favre
Yay Brett Favre is back now sports and focus on something else for a change. I am glad he finally made a decision to play all players would like to end their careers on a high note, although this man as a football player and quarterback should consider his career and that fact that he can still play as well as he can and does as a few of the highest.
It will be great to watch him play another season of football, personally I just wish he would make his decisions a bit sooner as to not leave everyone in the lurch. Or his fellow players that he is possibly benching until god forbid he is injured again, or is having a bad run of things.
Official Opinion: Brett Favre is back, great. Sports writers will now speak of other things, great. Benching fellow teammates, not so great.

John Kerry and his Boat.
I am not a fan of John Kerry but on this point I understand. People have been berating him on where he decided to park his new $7 million yacht named "Isabel". Parking it in Rhode Island has saved him half a million in taxes and who am I to argue with that for him to have found a way to get around that kind of fee is a nice loop hole in the system. Now if I'm wrong and if someone who lives in Massachusetts has to park their boat off the coast of Massachusetts then by all means he should have to pay the taxes because what he did is wrong.
Otherwise he has done something most Corporations, business men, and families do. Thats find ways to get around paying as much in taxes as possible. This is why people pay accountants to find every tax break possible. There are ways to get around somethings, you can't stop paying taxes but there are plenty of things to reduce what you pay.
Official Opinion: Getting out of $500,000 in taxes legally is fantastic no matter who you are.

What I wished had happened....President Calderon
I know this is late in getting posted but I'm just putting this blog up and this event still bothers me. I also understand that President Obama still believes that the new immigration law in Arizona will cause racial profiling.
President Calderon visited the U.S. and said several things that well floored me.Things like "But I strongly disagree with the recently adopted law in Arizona," he said. "It's a law that not only ignores reality, but also introduces racial profiling as a basis for law enforcement." Calderon said his "government does not favor the breaking of the rules" and that he respects the right of any country to "enact and enforce its own laws."
"But what we need today is to fix a broken and inefficient system," he said. "We favor the establishment of laws that work and work well for all."
For a foreign President to come to the U.S. and state what he believes should be done on our soil is by itself a slap in the face to not only the people of this country but to the politicians as well. On top of that we most certainly do not visit Mexico and speak to them about their immigration laws, which if looked at in comparison to ours seem almost laughable that President Calderon should say anything at all.
Official Opinion: I wish that when things like that were said by foreign leadership IN the U.S. that our President would be at the very least on our side of the issue and state the following " You deal with your country and I'll handle things here.". That would of been nice, to go even further "Your commenting on our laws when yours are worse, get him the hell out of my country."
